Nominate a charity

Members help decide where our collective donation goes by nominating local charities for consideration.

If you know a registered charity doing meaningful work in North Bay and Area, that could benefit from a $10K donation, we encourage you to submit a nomination before the next meeting.

At each meeting, nominated charities are considered through a member voting process. The charity selected by members receives the collective donation from that meeting.

This process helps us learn more about local needs while ensuring members have a direct voice in where their giving goes.

Choosing Charities We Can Support 💜

We want every donation to make a meaningful difference right here in North Bay & Area. To keep our giving local, transparent, and simple, nominated charities need to meet a few basic guidelines.

Registered & Ready to Receive
The organization must be a registered charity and able to provide official charitable tax receipts for eligible donations.
Keeping It Local 📍
Our focus is our community. The charity must serve North Bay & Area, and the funds donated through our giving circle must be used to support local programs, services, or initiatives.
National Organization? That's Okay!
Local chapters or programs connected to larger organizations are welcome to be nominated, as long as 100% of our collective donation stays right here in our community.
Focused on Charitable Impact
To keep our giving inclusive and community-focused, political campaigns, third-party fundraisers, and organizations whose primary purpose is religious conversion aren't eligible for nomination.
Sharing the Love 💕
We want to give lots of wonderful local charities their moment to shine! Once a charity is selected to receive our collective donation, it will take a little break (1-3 years depending on nominations) before becoming eligible to be nominated again.
Respecting Our Members' Privacy 🔒
Recipient charities must agree to respect the privacy of our members and not use, share, or distribute donor information for future solicitation or marketing.

Our goal is to make giving as easy as possible while making sure the greatest amount possible reaches the local charity we've chosen together.

100+ Women Who Care North Bay & Area is volunteer-run and does not take an administrative fee from members' charitable donations.
Getting Your Donation to the Charity
Members can make their contribution using the payment options available for each giving meeting. We accept etransfers to info@100womenwhocarenb.com , cash at event registration or cheque payable to 100 Women Who Care North Bay
Your Tax Receipt 🧾
Where a donation is eligible for an official charitable tax receipt, the selected charity is responsible for issuing the receipt directly to the donor.
Come Back & Tell Us What Happened! ✨
The best part of giving is seeing the difference it makes. We invite our selected charity back to our next giving meeting for a quick five-minute update about how our collective donation is making an impact in the community.
